IATA is an international trade body, created over 60 years ago by a group of airlines. Today, IATA represents some 230 airlines comprising 93% of scheduled international air traffic. The organization also represents, leads and serves the airline industry in general including ETA Logistics.
To be recognized as an IATA agent has become a hallmark of quality for the airlines and public at large. Any person involved in international airfreight and complying with appropriate licence and legal requirements may apply for registration as an IATA Cargo Agent.
ISO 9001:2008 is the current version of ISO 9001 and it provides a set of standardised requirements for a quality management system (QMS) which ETA is proud to adhere to. With over 1,000,000 organisations currently certified to the standard globally, it is the fore leader in not only quality management systems, but within all management systems.
BIFA is the trade association for UK-registered companies engaged in international movement of freight by all modes of transport, air, road, rail and sea. BIFA has around 1400 corporate members including ETA, known generally as freight forwarders, which offer a wide range of services within these various modes.
